Amy Barton

Amy is new to the Birdfoot Festival team. Amy has an extensive background in marketing and social media. She founded and managed her own business, the NW Pet Fair in Portland, OR, a trade show that grew to be the largest pet adoption event in the Pacific Northwest. In Houston she worked as the Marketing & Development Associate at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center and currently serves on the Board of Directors at Woodlands Conservancy here in New Orleans.

Mrs. Barton has a strong commitment to community engagement and has founded two young professionals groups, Evergreen for the Houston Arboretum and the Palmetto Pals for Woodlands Conservancy. Through advocacy, fundraising and volunteering, the young professionals groups support each non-profit’s mission and help them reach their goals.

Amy enjoys spending time with her 2 year old, Alice. On the weekends she and her husband like to play disc golf, cook, and take their daughter to Audubon Park.
